I wanted to share with you how quick it is to make cards when you have beautiful paper to do all the hard work for you.
Today I put together 4 cards in 15 minutes, all have a similar layout so you could really set up your production line and create a stack of cards to have on hand for anytime you need them
The cards all feature the stunning DSP from the Share What You Love suite. This paper is mat on one side, but the other side has goreous pearl accents. Most of the pages (but not all) have a floral theme to them, and quite a few of the pages have large enough flowers that they could be cut out and used as embellishments on their own.
These cards are pretty simple to put together once you have everything cut to size. The sizes you will need are as follows:
- 4 Card bases – 1/2 an A4 sheet, scored. I have used the colours Grapefruit Grove, Mint Macaron, Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry.
- 4 Mat pieces in basic black – 10cm x 14.3cm
- 4 pieces of DSP – 9.5cm x 13.8cm
- Scraps of coordinating DSP
- 4 Pearlized Doilies
- 4 of the second largest circle stitched shape (whisper white)
- 4 pieces of whisper white – 10cm x 14.3cm for the inside of the cards
On each of the stitched shapes I stamped the sentiment which is from the Love What You Do stampset. I picked the sentiment colour to coordinate with the card base. I also stamped a small bunch of flowers with the only image stamp in the set Make A Difference.
Once the stamping was done there was really only construction work to go, glueing everything together.
These cards turned out so pretty, but really took no effort on my behalf
Here is a quick video I shot showing how I put these cards together. They are not hard to do, but I am trying my hand at videos and this seemed a good example!

Beautiful! I love these papers and also love simple cards. Hadn’t thought of using a black mat with them, thanks! 😊
