Hi everyone, and welcome to what is going to be a very exciting blog hop! Tonight I am hopping with the phenomenal Paper Adventures team and the theme is “In With The New” – so I am expecting we will be seeing lots of new products!

Tonight I am sharing a card I have created using the brand new Pirates and Mermaids stamp set. If you have followed my blog for a while you would know that I make a lot of kids cards so this set was a no brainer for me.

The set is a mixture of images that can be coloured and sentiments. I have coloured my pirate using Stampin’ Blends, and then created a pirate ship for him using some DSP from the Beauty of the Earth DSP pack. The helm is cut from the Smooth Sailing Dies, and I used both the Jar punch and the Banners Pick a Punch to make the flags. The rest of the boat is just cut from scraps.

I decided to give it a rounded bottom to make it more ship like – to be honest is doesn’t stand overly well – but it does ok! And it makes it more fun I think.
