Saying Goodbye To A Magical Day

Today’s card incorporates a few of the items that will be retiring at the end of May, but it features one of my favourite stamp sets – Magical Day. Although this set is retiring, I can’t see myself letting go of it any time soon.

This card was created for the CASEing the Catty challenge #176. This is a facebook based challenge that I like participating in. Using the catalogue as inspiration, every week the challenge focuses on a different part of the catalogue. This week it asked us to CASE our favourite Occasions catalogue project – for me I knew that would have to be something in the Myths and Magic suite. I have CASEd the card on page 36 down the bottom right – shown below.

Similar to the card in the catalogue, I fussy cut the knight and dragon out of the speciality DSP. The card base is dapper denim (retiring in May) and the dragon has been stamped all over it (also in dapper denim). I have used a rectangle of paper from the Tutti-Frutti DSP stack (also retiring in May), the largest oval from the Stitches Shapes dies and some of the Myths and Magic Glimmer paper (another thing on the retirement list).

The sentiment has been stamped on a scrap of Soft Sky (another retiring colour….sob sob – I love Soft Sky!). I finished it off with a few glitter enamel dots in dapper denim. The only thing used on this card that isn’t retiring is the stitched oval in whisper white card – that’s it!

If you want this stamp set or anything else used in the card, you need to order it asap – this stamp set is so popular and it won’t last long – don’t be disappointed! Either click on the ‘Shop Now’ button in the menu, or go direct to the items using the links below.
