Bloom Where You’re Planted

Hi everyone, thanks for stopping by this lovely Sunday morning! I wanted to share a couple of cards I made last night using the Bloom Where You’re Planted suite of products.

The Bloom Where You’re Planted suite is on page 80 of the annual catalogue and contains the Plentiful Plants stamp set and dies, the coordinating DSP and also some paper lattice. In my cards today I have only use the DSP and stamps.

Some of the papers in the DSP pack contain images that can be cut out – so this is where I started. Cutting out images is something I can do in between other activities at home and it gives me somewhere to start when I sit down in the evening.

The layout I have gone with is straight from the catalogue itself, a card shown on page 25. I love the combo of the white embossed background with a strip of DSP. I’ve used the Bricks and Mortar embossing folder for the background and teamed it with a strip of DSP from the above mentioned pack plus also a strip from the Beauty of the Earth DSP pack.

For both cards, the sentiment comes from the Plentiful Plants stamp set, and the sentiment panel is cut using the Hippo & Friends dies. I have actually double cut the sentiment panel to make it smaller than the original cut.

Cutting out images from the DSP is such a great way to use the paper. It does take time (and often makes me wish I had an electronic cutting machine….one day!), but I do love the end result.

Enjoy what is left of your weekend, and I’ll catch you back here soon 👍
