A Desert Sunset

This weekend I am spending a day crafting with some gorgeous talented friends of mine here in Perth. We have all prepared card kits to share with each other, I am so excited to see what we will end up making! This also means I need to be mega-organised and make sure I have everything I need with me. This is where my craft and carry tote comes in handy. These are an exclusive product and only available when you join up before the end of March. Get in contact with me if you want to know how to get one.

Whilst packing my tote, I received an email about this week’s Just Add Ink design challenge…and I literally could not resist these colours! Talk about a gorgeous combo.

I kept this card really simple, just sponged all three colours onto a piece of whisper white, stamped the image and cactus in black ink, and then added a basic black mat. I finished it by drawing in the shadow using the Light Smokey Slate Stampin’ Blend. That’s it – very quick and simple. All the supplies I used are listed below.

  1. Gorgeous card! Love the way you’ve blended them together to create a sunset like background. Very clever idea to use the blends to create a cactus shadow. Thanks for playing along with us this week at Just Add Ink. Rochelle xo

    • So pretty, Shannon! The softly blended background is gorgeous and the black image and sentiment is so striking against it. Thanks for sharing with us at Just Add Ink this week.
