CTC221 – Needlepoint Nook

Wow – Sunday came around fast this week! I was lucky enough to spend today crafting with the most wonderful group of fellow demonstrators from here in Perth. Such a talented group of ladies, we had an awesome day sharing lots of ideas and just generally having a good time. Below are a few snaps of the goody bag we received and also the projects we put together.

This week in the CASEing the Catty design challenge we are being inspired by the Needlepoint Nook suite on pages 38-41. It would be awesome to see what you come up with, click the link towards the bottom of this post to play along. I decided to case the layout of the green card in the photo below.

I started with a coastal cabana card base, and then added another coastal cabana layer that I embossed with the subtle embossing folder.

The three strips of DSP are from the free Botanical Butterfly DSP Pack in this years Sale-A-Bration Catalogue. They are cut using the stitched rectangle dies (my favourite dies at the moment!).

I’ve then layered up some more elements including butterflies punched from the same DSP Pack, a pearl doily and some wooden butterfly elements. The sentiment and greenery (in soft sea foam card stock) are courtesy of the ‘Well Said’ bundle.

I think my favourite thing about this card is the colour combo – I love love love black and coastal cabana….one of my favs!

I hope you continue to hop around all the design team members to continue to be inspired. Next up is the talented Peta.

We’d love to see you join in too – click the link below to go direct to our Facebook group.

No blog post for me next Sunday as I am off on a little holiday, but I will be back the week after that.

Till then x

  1. I love the soft sea foam greenery elements under the greeting. These are so soft and subtle but add so much depth and interest. Gorgeous.
