After a busy week I was able to sit down last night and ink up a new stamp set – Postcard Pals. This set consists of three main animal images and a variety of sentiments. I inked up the otter and this is what I came up with.

The layout is inspired by the annual catalogue as I am playing along with CASEing the Catty this week. I am caseing the Pretty Kitty card shown in white on page 31.

I used a mint macaron card base, and then embossed another mint macaron layer using the pinewood planks embossing folder. The beaver is stamped on whisper white and coloured with watercolour pencils with the aid of an aqua painter.

Finally the ribbon is some new mini striped ribbon in Poppy Parade and the sentiment is stamped in Pacific Point (to match the beaver’s jumper).

I’ve kept the card quite simple and let the beaver be the highlight. I’m an absolute sucker for cute animal stamps and I know this set is going to get a lot of use in months to come.
