Where do you get your inspiration from? Well, it can come from almost anywhere, but tonight’s project I have used the 2018 Stampin’ Up! Occasions catalogue.

This week’s CASEing the Catty challenge was all around using the Big Shot Die Cutting machine.  The card that I am CASEing is on page 10 and I have shown it below.

I actually didn’t change much at all on this one as I really loved the colour combo, but I did change up the stamps and the die cut text.

The base is Old Olive, and I have die cut the word celebrate in Berry Burst. The three strips of DSP are from the Sweet Soiree Speciality DSP pack.  The stamped leaves are from the brand new Love What You Do stamp set, and I stamped them using second and thrd generation stamping so the Old Olive ink wasn’t too bold.

I thought I didn’t have any leaf dies, but then I realised that the Magical Mates framelits set also contained 2 small leaves – who knew! The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Picture Perfect Birthday set – if you don’t have this one you need to order it. It is such a staple for birthday crds and contains 6 different birthday related sentiments, not to mention some cool 2 steps stamps plus some background bits and pieces. I finished it off with some silver metallic thread.

I was really happy with how this card turned out, it has a nice texture to it because of the layers, without being too over the top.
