Animal Outing Card Set

As soon as I saw this stamp set I knew I would end up making a set of small cards with them. They were really too cute not to use!

Whilst browsing YouTube I came across a demo who made a set of cards uing the coffee break  DSP and I thought perfect, so I basically crafted along with here on her YouTube channel. You can check it out here.

I ended up making a set of six 3 ” x 3″ cards, 3 with kangaroos and 3 with giraffes. For the Non-Aussies that are reading this, I just want to point out that a kangaroo would never hold a koala in it’s pouch. Apart from just being a bit odd, koalas have very sharp claws so it would be very uncomfortable! All the same, it makes for a ridiculously cute stamp and I love it 🙂

The DSP background is from the Coffee Break DSP pack. This paper works so well with this stamp set, in fact any stamp set that has animals goes well with it. It has lots of natural colours in it so works perfectly for these cards. Each of the images is stamped in Momento black ink and then coloured with Stampin’ Blends. There is also an early espresso mat piece in there.

The ‘Thank You Big Time’ sentiment comes from the same Animal Outings stamp set, and the “You’re Just So Lovely” comes from Oh So Eclectic stamp set (and this set is carrying over to the catalogue!) The envelopes were all made using the envelope punch board, and I again used DSP from the Coffee Break stack.

I created a very simple pizza box to hold these cards. Pizza box directions are everywhere.  If you can’t find one or want an exact template of this let me know and I will be happy to email you one.

I decorated the top of the box in a similar fashion to the cards, only this time I used the rhino stamp.

Hope you like tonight’s project, and go check out Indra’s YouTube for full measurements. It isn’t in English. but she has text on the screen through the video showing the (metric) measurements.
