My son turned four a few days ago and I wanted to make him a special card, and what little one wouldn’t love the Myths and Magic suite of products.
I found the perfect card over at addINKtive Designs. Bronwyn has a huge assortment of tutorials and templates on her site, it’s really worth having a good look through them.
Since we were already throwing a ‘Dragon’ birthday party (you can check out my invitations here), I thought this card tied in well. It had dragons, knights, a castle and glitter – not a lot could really go wrong!
The card style is called a double-z card (which I have done before here). I kept most of the colours close to what Bronwyn had used as I thought they worked really well. The two things I changed were I added a panel that we wrote a personal message on (it’s on the middle section, you can only just see it in the photo), and I stamped the bottom grey section (Bronwyn embosses hers).
All of the images are fussy cut out, which to be honest is fiddly, but it was worth it in the end.
This was a really fun card to put together, and my son definitely loved it ๐
Update – We had his birthday party this morning, and to follow on with the Dragon theme, here is the cake I made for him. What a fun theme for a party!
Thanks for sharing this pic on Insta with me. Your card turned out so stinkin’ cute. I will be linking your card up in my Addinktive Designs Team post on the 28th February.
