The start of the year brings with it a fresh new Stampin’ Up! catalogue and also a fresh round of design challenges. This card was created with two different ‘CASEing’ challenges in mind.
The first is CASEing the Catty #160. Each week the design team pick a section of a Stampin’ Up! current catalogue for participants to case. This week it is focussed on Picture Perfect party section of the new occasions catalogue. For my card this week I am CASEing the colour combination used in the card in the centre of the photo below

The layout of the card is inspired by the card designed by Krista Frattin for the Global Design Challenge 120. Use the links above to check out both of these challenges as they get so many great entries from all over the world.
My card uses a berry burst card base with a strip of ‘confetti’ DSP taken from the Picture Perfect Party paper stack. Layered onto this is actually a silver foil snowflake left over from the holiday catalogue. These snowflakes are so pretty, they come in either gold or silver but the underside is white. I coloured the underside using my light bermuda bay stampin blend alcohol marker.
Layered onto of the snowflake is a 2″ circle of lemon lime twist. The pandas (from the Party Panda free sale-a-oration stamp set) are stamped in archival black ink and I added a bit of colour to them using stampin write markers. The sentiment is stamped in Peekaboo peach, and comes from another free Sale-a-bration stamp set ‘Amazing You’. Finally I added some mini gold sequins for a bit of sparkle, and some bermuda bay shimmery ribbon – another free item from the Sale-a-bration catalogue – who doesn’t love free stuff!
Hope you enjoy tonights card 🙂
