CTC315 – Case one of the Kit Cards

Hi everyone – welcome to the weekend!! It’s going to be a busy weekend for us with the kids winter sports starting back up, so I thought I would spend some time in the craft room today having a play with a few things I was yet to unpack from a recent order.

To save myself some planning time, I decided to check out this week’s CASEing the Catty challenge to see what the awesome crew was challenging us to create, and this week’s they are all about the kit cards. When it comes to Caseing you can really be inspired by anything, the colours, the layout, some paper – the list goes on. I decided to run with caseing a layout as I was short on time and deciding on the layout is often what takes me the most time. I have cased the top two cards in the below picture, from page 7 of the January – June 2021 Mini Catalogue. They are part of the You Are Amazing card kit.

For my cards, I am using some new products, namely a Memories and More pack called What a Year, which is in the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue….which launches in around a week!! Memories and More cards are designed for memory keeping (scrapbooking, pocket pages etc), but you can use them for anything. And as you can see from my cards, you definitely don’t need to leave the cards intact, you can cut them up, die cut them or fussy cut some images. But you can also just use them as is to create super fast cards – made even faster by using a Memories and More Cards and Envelope pack which is sized perfectly for these cards.

For my first card I used one of the larger cards in the pack as a background piece, and then added two circles cut from some of the smaller cards. The sentiment was on another card and I just cut it down using stitched rectangles, with a layer of bumblebee card stock underneath.

For the second card I used another full card for the background, and then die cut a rectangle layer from another card. The sentiment is fussy cut out of a smaller card in the pack, and I have also added some extra banner pieces, plus some ribbon that I coloured with a Stampin’ Blend alcohol marker.

So quick and easy to put together, I hope you have liked this sneak peak of another product coming your way next week. If you live in Australia and need a catalogue get in touch and I will get one to you.

Enjoy your weekend, and I hope you manage some craft time!
