I am sharing a few special projects today that I have made to swap with my friends at our Stampin’ Up! event being held today here in Perth. Stampin’ Up! host a couple of these events each year in places all around the world, and we were lucky enough to have one here in Perth – so I was able to attend without travelling at all!
OnStage is a demonstrator only event where we get together to get a first look at new products and catalogues. We get to see lots of samples and make a few things along the way. We also get the opportunity to participate in card swaps where we make multiples of a card and swap them with other demonstrators for one of theirs.

The card design I came up with uses the Wiggle Worm stamp set and the Wiggly Bug dies. I also used circle dies to cut out the bits and pieces used to make the magnifying glass. The magnifying glass also uses a piece of window sheet for the glass, to give it a more realistic look – unfortunately this also makes it hard to photograph.

I left the ‘glass’ part of the magnifying glass unstuck, so you can lift it up and really check out the bug underneath. I thought it was a fun addition.
In addition to these swaps, I also made a few little gifts to share with the people on my table. These were really quick and simple to make, and could be made in bulk for party bags or lolly bags for a kids party.

I used a stitched oval to cut a handle in one of our Kraft Pillow boxes. I wrapped a strip of DSP around the box, and then attached by Dino cut out. I finished with some ribbon and a little label from the Mini Curvy Keepsake box dies. I stamped the dinos is a selection of colours that coordinate with the DSP. Not sure if you notice the light purply colour of the one on the left in the photo above – that colour is called “Pool Party on a stamp previously used for lovely lipstick and not cleaned properly…..” – Hahaha š

Well I hope you liked my projects, I hope to share some of the things I got in return from others at this event in the coming weeks.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend š
