Hello, and welcome back to another week of Caseing the Catty. It’s been a busy week for me as we have been away on holidays enjoying some family time. Coming home from holidays always brings you crashing back to reality….in addition to a bucket load of laundry! How’s that for normality 🙂
This week we are caseing the colours in the Garden Lane DSP. The colours include Garden Green, Mint Macaron, Mossy Meadow, Pear Pizzazz, Soft Sea Foam and Whisper White.

To be brutally honest, I really struggled with this challenge, these aren’t colours I am particularly drawn to – especially not just the ‘greens’ on their own. I went back and forth a few times, not happy with the results and in the end I settled on a set of cards.

I made 3 small 3″ x 3″ cards in Pear Pizzazz, Soft Sea Foam and Garden Green. I use this card size a lot as I tend to attach them to gift bags, wine bottles (as gifts) or even just send them when I don’t have much to say. We have a very active local ‘Buy Nothing’ group in our area where we give away what we no longer need to someone who does. These cards are perfect to drop off to a neighbours house as a small thank you.
The stamp set I have used is a new one called ‘Check You Out’. It contains a mix of imagery and sentiments and has a bit of a bookish or library feel to it. It’s pretty cute, I can see myself using this for teacher cards later in the year.
I must apologise for the photos this week, I’m not the greatest photographer at the best of times, but I had to take these ones inside due to the wet / cold / stormy weather we have had this week in Perth.
I would love to see what everyone else comes up with using this colour palette this week. If you would like to join us, just upload a photo to our facebook page (click the image below).
Next up this week is the wonderful Sandra, click below to have a look at what she is inspiring us with this week.
[…] up on the hop is Shannon. Make sure you keep hopping around to see what the rest of the team have come up with for this […]

Such a cute trio. I think making a few of the same design like this is a great way to approach a colour challenge, especially when you find the colours a little tricky to work with. These look great, though, even if you’re not a green gal. 🙂 Siobhan.

Such cuties!! I love this little owl. Great to have these sorts of little cards on hand and even if you aren’t a green fan they came together well. Your recipients will be chuffed I’m sure.
