CTC228 – Favourite Retiring Stamp Set

img_6221

Hi everyone, and thank you for stopping by tonight. I hope all the Mum’s out there have had a wonderful Mother’s Day and were thoroughly appreciated for all you do by your loved ones.

Tonight we are reminding ourselves that some of our favourite stamp sets will shortly be no longer available! Hopefully at the time this goes live, the stamp sets featured in tonight’s hop will still be available to purchase, but be warned – they are all strictly while stocks last up until June 3rd!

The Amazing Life stamp set is in the Occasions catalogue and is a totally versatile set. Lots of sentiments, small images to colour and lots of cool ‘mixed’ fonts. Tonight I have created some very simple cards that also feature the DSP from the Brights stack of paper.

Firstly I stamped the sentiment along with the cake image onto a stitched rectangle (Remember up until June 3rd you can buy this stamp set together with the stitched rectangle dies and save yourself 10%). I used my stamparatus to get them all lined up the same. Using my Stamping’ Write markers, I coloured in the word cake and also some of the icing on the actual cake.

My card bases each got a piece of DSP that covered the full base. The colours I used were Bermuda Bay, Gorgeous Grape, Flirty Flamingo, Poppy Parade and Granny Apple Green. I added a strip of copper foil and some whisper white sheer ribbon. The sentiment panel is popped up on some dimensionals to give a bit more interest.

What is your favourite stamp set that is soon to be gone? We would love for you to join in this week and show us what you are going to miss.

Next up tonight is the lovely Siobhan, you can check out her project and all the others tonight by clicking on the link below.

It would be wonderful if you wanted to join in this week, we love seeing all the fabulous things people create. Click the image below to go straight to our facebook page to upload your design 🙂

  1. Oh dang, I hadn’t really noticed this one was retiring. As you say it’s such a versatile set. I love what you’ve created here – really simple but striking (that strip of gold makes all the difference) and a great stash builder and DSP userupperer (I’m saying that’s a word).
