Happy Sunday! And welcome to another round of CASE-ing the Catty 🙂

This week we are looking at the Gingham Gala section of the catalogue, and I tell you if you can’t be inspired by this section….then you must be very hard to please!

This week I have chosen to be inspired by the DSP pack itself. The colours are so bright and fun, and the gingham pattern is very on trend right now. I made a set of three cards, using the colours Lemon Lime Twist, Balmy Blue and Highland Heather.

It’s a fairly simple design, the front panel has a middle strip cut out for it, to allow for a ‘peek-a-boo’ greeting, and the top and bottom parts of the front panel are joined by a rectangular piece that becomes the focal point.

The images used on the front panels comes from the Piece of Cake stamp set (which has a coordinating punch that I also used), the So Hoppy Together stamp set and the Hello Cupcake stamp set (both of which are free during Sale-A-Bration. The cake stand is punched out of the (also free) foil sheet in Grapefruit Grove. One of the things I love best about this Grapefruit Grove paper, is that it doesn’t look overly grapefruit coloured – in fact it changes its appearance depending on what you put near it. It can look gold-ish, pale-ish, even silver-ish. Its the ultimate bit of shiny paper for lazy people who just want to lean across their desk and grab the closest paper and have it match!

Hope you like this week’s card set, and I hope you consider joining in this week’s challenge. You don’t need a blog or anything fancy, just upload your card to our facebook page.
Next up in this week’s hop is the talented Elizabeth, I hope you’ll pop over and see what she has created.
Love the peekaboo greeting! This is such a fun card design. And it shows of the feature piece beautifully. Gorgeous set of cards!
