CTC216 – Sale-A-Bration

Happy Sunday! It’s been a very busy week for us in our house – lots of early mornings and long days, but we made it to the weekend 🙂

This week we are again looking at the Sale-A-Bration catalogue. I decided to use a couple of things for inspiration this week, in order to create some samples for party favour bags / tags for my son’s upcoming birthday party.

I liked the idea of using the pillow boxes for party favour bags as they are small-ish, but still fit in a few lollies and treats. I also liked the idea of attaching a tag to a regular paper bag for something to give me a bit more flexibility on what I will put in them. So using the above two images for inspiration I came up with a couple of different ideas.

This was my first option which I loved. Very similar to the catalogue picture but with a more party feel than ‘romantic’ feel. The foil paper (a freebie from SAB) die cuts like butter – just gorgeous. One tip for making these especially if making them for a kids party where RSVP’s a bit hit and miss!) – did you notice the bakers twine on the right hand side there….well this twine is holding the panel on – I haven’t glued it down at all. That way I can make extras for the unexpected guests, and if I end up with left overs I can just slide the panel off, use it on a card front and I still have the pillow box to use later!

For my second option I went with some tags, similar layout to the pillow box but instead I could stick these to party bags / or gifts. I used the gingham gala DSP on these tags, and instead of foil I have used Sparkle Glimmer paper. It’s actually a bit hard to see the word ‘thanks’ in these photos but they do look quite pretty in real life.

I hope you will consider joining in the challenge this week, click on the image below to go straight to our facebook group.

Next up on the blog hop is Michelle, you will want to keep hopping along to see what she and everyone else has created.
