Furthering my earlier post where I introduced you to the family tradition we have of giving ‘Sumps’, today I have a few more homemade gifts, this time more suited to the adult crowd.
A couple of years ago I discovered this Thermobliss recipe for homemade Bailey’s Irish Cream – it is devine! It is made with a Thermomix but you can easily make this without one. Try it out – but be warned it is decadent 🙂 Each batch makes 1L, I made a double batch to fill these four jars.
Of course these gorgeous bottles require a gift tag to make them look more festive. The challenge for CASEing the Catty is to CASE your favourite bundle, so I could not resist being inspired by the Festive Farmhouse bundle.
The tags measure 5″ x 2″ and I picked the design based on a card layout I love in the current catalogue, shown below in the top right.
All of them are on a base of thick whisper white to give the tags a bit of sturdiness. I stuck the DSP to the whisper white and then used the scalloped tag topper punch on the top. I have layered the other DSP, a stitched circle, the sentiment (from Winter Woods stamp set, stamped in Cherry Cobbler on Very Vanilla card) and some Striped Burlap Ribbon. The tags are attached using some festive farmhouse cotton twine in Cherry Cobbler.
Great tags and that homemade baileys sounds amazing! 🙂
