There is a new tree stamp in town and this one is stunning! It’s called Winter Woods and her is something I created using it tonight.
The Just Add Ink challenge this week is all about texture and I thought this would suit something I had been thinking about for a while. I know we don’t have a white christmas here is Australia, but I still love winter themed christmas cards – and a white christmas is still on my bucket list!
I started by sponging some balmy blue onto a background piece of whisper white card. The Winter Woods stamp set has a coordinating set of framelits called the In The Woods framelits. One this Stampin’ Up! has started doing more and more is providing extra framelit pieces that don’t cut out stamps, and I have used those pieces tonight. I used the curvy line to create a snow bank and also used the branches and cut them all out in Sparkle glimmer paper.
Before adhering them to the background piece I stamped the trees and the sentiment in Early Espresso. After I stuck everything down I decided I needed something extra and added a deer from the Dashing Deer bundle.
I finished by adhering the front panel to a card base of Pool Party – quite untraditional colours in the end but I really like the combo.
Let me know what you think 🙂

Beautiful. What did you use to adhere the glittery trees?

Thanks Patricia 🙂 for the glittery trees I just used liquid adhesive down the bottom of them, the part that got covered with the snow bank anyway. The tops of the trees aren’t stuck down. Since it’s covered by the snow bank you could even just use a little sticky tape.
