Since I craft on my dining room table, I have had everything packed away the last couple of weeks to get through christmas and birthdays, but today I was able to get everything out again and get busy.
For christmas I was lucky enough to get some stamp sets, a set of stampin write markers a set of stampin blends and also a colour caddy to store all my inks – I must have been good this year! I haven’t used alcohol markers for colouring much before so I wanted to practise, and I was also dying to use a new stamp set from the 2018 occasions catalogue called Magical Day.
I saw this card over on Stampin’ Hoot and I loved it. My son is going to a 4th birthday party this weekend and I thought the little girl would like it, so I gave it a go.
My card isn’t quite as neat – mostly because my cutting skills lack, but I still like the way it turned out. The mermaids are coloured with Stampin Blends using Calypso Coral, Pink Pirouette and Rich Razzleberry. The water background is done using Night of Navy, Bermuda Bay and Pool Party.
The stripey washi tape is a retired set I picked up on the clearance rack and the card base is in Daffodil Delight.
A lovely card, great colours. Thank you for sharing
