Hi Everyone, and thank you for stopping by tonight. I hope you are enjoying the new catalogue as much as I am. There are so many hidden gems in there I keep finding new things to add to my ever growing shopping list!
However…I am trying to get good use out of what I do have before buying new things so tonight’s card is again featuring items from the Bird Ballad suite. You might have noticed that the CASEing the Catty Challenge is changing up a bit with this catalogue. Instead of CASEing an entire section or suite every week, we are mixing it up a bit. Tonight we are CASEing any layout shown on page 36 of the catalogue, shown in the image below. I have chosen the pale pink card on the bottom right of this page.
I started with a thick whisper white base added a DSP panel from the Bird Ballad DSP pack. One of my favourite things about our DSP packs is that normally on one side of the paper there is some kind of imagery associated with the suite (in this case a bird theme). On the other side there are more generic patterns that are coloured to coordinate with the suite.
I fussy cut the birds from another piece of DSP and mounted them on a circle of vellum with some rose gold thread. I gold embossed the sentiment (from the Butterfly Gala stamp set) onto a stitched rectangle. I finished by tucking an outline die cut in Calypso Coral from the Magnolia Memory Dies.
Come and join us this week, just upload your design to our facebook page (click the link below)
Next up tonight is another WA demo, Siobhan. She makes the most beautiful things so definitely click below to check out this week’s creation.
