Hi everyone, I’ve got a very quick share for you today as I’ve squeezed in some time to play with some new products 😊
In the new catalogue there are some really fun sets pitched at making kids cards – which is something I love to do. They were the first things I pulled out of my delivery box to play with – the first is Pirates & Mermaids and the second is Stellar Birthday.
The first thing do with sets like these is stamp a bunch of images and then start to colour. Sadly there are no coordinating dies for these sets so once I coloured I also had to fussy cut out. But they were reasonably straight forward to cut. The photo below is not the best – but like lots of people I tend to craft at night when the photography light isn’t the best!

My youngest has a birthday party coming up and I’m told the party host is a big mermaid fan – so receiving the Pirates & Mermaids set was perfectly timed.

The background piece was created by using blending brushes and one of the new decorative masks. These masks are so cost effective – only $14 for a pack of 4. You can use them with inks or embossing paste and create a whole array of backgrounds.

Once the background piece was dry I also spritzed it with my shimmer spray, a mix of alcohol and shimmer paint. It adds a sparkle that’s hard to photograph but so pretty in real life.
I’ve got many more cards to share using these sets, so stay tuned!
