Hi everyone – and welcome to a very exciting week – the first week of CASE-ing the new Annual Catalogue!!! Woooohooooo! I hope you have been enjoying your weekend so far, I say so far – because here in Western Australia we have a long weekend in honour of WA Day 🙂 We have taken the opportunity to visit the beautiful South West of WA – somewhere we had not been able to visit for some time due to the regional border restrictions put in place to limit the spread of COVID-19. But those borders have been lifted and we are free to travel (locally!) again.
But back to the blog hop – we can’t quite share the insides of the catalogue with you yet (if you don’t have one and need one, get in touch – I can hook you up), so we are instead CASEing the front cover.

At first I was a little stumped – I mean there is only 3 cards on the cover….but get creative with this one. You could be inspired by a card layout, colour schemes, wattle, wood – even something to do with ‘three focus words’ like the Inspire, Create, Share at the bottom there. There’s actually quite a lot of options when you start thinking outside the square. For me – I chose a colour scheme – namely the colour scheme of the top left hand card.

The feathers are from the Beautiful World bundle and I have stamped them in Pool Party and Blushing Bride on the same coloured card stock. The sentiment is stamped on some Bumblebee card and I have tucked a piece of the Bumblebee DSP behind the main panel to add some contrast.
These are not colours I would normally use together, but I think they actually worked well. The catalogue is a great resource for showing you combos that you might not have thought of using. If you are flicking through the catalogue and can’t work out what a colour is, or what embellishment has been used, get in touch with me of your own local demonstrator and they will be able to give you all the info on how the catalogue sample was made.

We would love to see as many people as possible join in this week’s challenge – and this one will only go for one week…we are just too excited to get cracking on the inside of the new catalogue! Click below to visit our facebook page and upload your project.
Next up in tonight’s hop is Rachel – I have had a sneaky peak at her project and it is beautiful!
What a lovely colour combo!! They look great together. I also love the feathers, I love how you have used them.

I agree, the Catalogue is a great provider of colour combos we wouldn’t reach for. Great to step out of our comfort zones – lovely lineup of feathers

Beautiful card Shannon, the feathers looks great. These are colours I wouldn’t normally put together either but they look fantastic.
