Hello everyone, and welcome to a very special Paper Adventures Team blog hop celebrating the birthday of the amazingly talented Kelly Kent! The theme of tonight’s hop is ‘Case the Birthday Girl’ – free reign to case any of the amazing projects that Kelly has created. Where on earth do I start with this one?

For me, I first found Kelly’s blog when I was growing Pinterest for punch art projects. Kelly has created some of the most amazing punch art cards in the past, if you want to check out some of them click here. In the end, the card I decided to case was this one – featuring a punch art Peppa Pig! My version of the card is shown below.

Aside from the punch art Peppa, the stamped clouds come from the ‘Above the Clouds’ stamp set, and I have also die cut some using the Wiggly Bug dies. These clouds were cut out of some velvet white card stock that Stampin’ Up! released a while ago, so although you can’t see it, these clouds have some texture and are soft to touch. The sun is die cut from the Magnolia Memory Dies. The grass, flowers and mushroom are also die cut from the Wiggly Bug dies, however the peach coloured flowers are actually sequins, so give it a bit of sparkle.

I have a birthday boy in mind for this card, and I wanted to leave enough room on the inside to allow for my kids to write the message (meaning I need space!), so on the inside I’ve used the whole spread, and even included Peppa’s little brother George.

I hope you have enjoyed this post, and if you are keen to give punch art a go, Kelly’s blog is definitely the place to start. Happy Birthday Kelly!

Next up tonight is Lisa, hop over to her blog to see what she is sharing tonight.

  1. This is soooo cute!!! I love all the little details you’ve included and how bright and happy this whole card is. You really are making me want those Wiggly Bug dies. Those grass layers are so awesome. Super, super cute. 🙂 Siobhan.

    • Thank you, I have got so much use out of the wiggly bugs – they are definitely keepers for me. One of the small mushrooms will live on forever….inside my bigshot where it fell one day – never to make it out again!

  3. Oh how cute Shannon. The punch-art Peppa and George are definitely the stars of the show but I love all the little bits of added detail with the grass and flowers.
