Hi everyone and Happy Australia Day! If you are in Australia I hope you are enjoying your long weekend.

This morning I got the day started early and decided to have a go at the Just Add Ink colour challenge. Click the image below to visit the Just Add Ink blog and see the current challenge entries.

The colours I used were Bermuda Bay, Blueberry Bushel and Daffodil Delight. I started with a piece of water colour paper and blended Bermuda Bay and Blueberry Bushel to create a background piece.

I then layered on a stitched rectangle frame and a die cut jetty from the By The Dock bundle (in the mini catalogue). Finally I fussy cut one of the images from the ‘A Good Man’ stamp set (from the annual catalogue). I thought this image was a perfect match for the sentiment I picked which is also from the By The Dock stamp set. I umm’d and ahh’d about where to put the sentiment – to banner or not to banner but in the end I decided to stamp it straight onto the water coloured panel. Since this was the very last thing I did I used my stamparatus so that I wouldn’t mess it up and to make sure it was nice and dark.

Finally I finished by adding the panel to a Daffodil Delight card base.
