Welcome to an extra special blog post tonight. My lovely friend Kelly from the Paper Adventures team asked me to be a guest designer in her teams blog hop – and with the theme being OnStage how could I say no!
OnStage is a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator event where we get sneak peaks of new products, catch up with our stamping buddies and of course take home some amazing freebies 🙂

I’ve got two different projects to share tonight. The first uses some DSP from the brand new County Club suite. This suite appears to be all about Golf – but really the patterns are very versatile. Unique to this paper pack, you get two sheets of line art images. I have coloured one of those images with water colour pencils and used it as a card front.

My next card uses a Sale-A-Bration stamp set called Lovely Lily Pad. If you’re not familiar with Sale-A-Bration (SAB) it’s an event that runs January through to March where for every $90AUD you spend yuh get yo pick a freebie from the SAB catalogue. So if you like the look of this stamp set, you’re going to love SAB!

The Lovely Lily Pad stamp set is one of our reversible sets. As in – I stamp the flower outline, then flip the stamp over to fill it in. I started with a full sheet of A4 and stamped the floral and leaf images in Highland Heather, Calypso Coral and Pear Pizzazz. The Pool Party and So Saffron ‘filler’ images come from current stamp sets Delightful Day and Daisy Delight.

When making my own DSP like this, I sometimes go overboard and stamp too much…so what I do is do all the main stamping, then chop the A4 into 4 card front sized pieces and then I stamp the ‘fill in’ images. That way if I overdo it, I haven’t wrecked a whole piece of card – I have 3 more chances 🤣
I completed the card with a Pear Pizzazz bass, a sentiment from the Tropical Chic stamp set and some fussy cut flowers. For the flowers I used a bone folder to give them a bit of texture, slightly curling the ends up.

I hope you have enjoyed tonight’s projects, and getting a glimpse into what is to come in the new year. Please do keep hopping around to have a look at what everyone else in the Paper Adventures team have created – such a talented bunch of ladies 🙂 .
Next up tonight is the amazing Lisa, she makes the most beautiful cards and I know you will love tonight’s project.

You definitely haven’t overdone this one – that DIY DSP is gorgeous. I just love that colour combo. And the layering of the extra Lillies on the front is fab. I also love your coloured panel on the first card. I am so not a golf person but I love the reverse patterns on that DSP and I really want to get some colouring done now I’ve seen your beautiful example. Thank you so much for being our honorary teamie tonight, both your cards are brilliant (as always). 🙂 Siobhan.

Thank you, it was a great incentive to stop looking at my OnStage stash and start using it 🙂

At On Stage I didn’t immediately take to either the Country Club Suite or Lilypad Lake but after seeing your creations they are now both on my wish list. Great cards Shannon xx
