Wow – where do I start with this week’s Caseing the Catty Challenge. Lots of wonderful products are retiring at the end of this catalogue, including the Big Shot itself! So this week is the ode to the Big Shot, and we are CASEing our favourite Big Shot Project.

Instead of CASEing a specific card or project from the catalogue, I decided to just take my inspiration from one of my favourite big shot sets – the Celebrate You Thinlets.

These dies are are so versatile and a perfect addition to any card. For my card tonight I have kept it very simple. The background piece was created by using an aquapainter and re-inkers. You could use the ink from your ink pad by pressing ink into the lid, however its hard to get vibrant rich colours.

I used Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight and blended them together as they transitioned. Once it was dry I spritzed it with my shimmer spray – White Frost shimmer paint mixed with rubbing alcohol in a spritzer.
The ‘Celebrate’ sentiment is cut from Copper foil.
I hope you like the simplicity of this card, the background is quite pretty in real life with the shimmer paint, though its hard to detect in the photo.

We’d love for you to join us this week and share your favourite big shot projects. Just click the image below to go direct to our facebook group.
Next up tonight is Siobhan, click the image below to continue around the hop and check out what Siobhan has made for us.
