Floral Romance – Whitewash Technique

We are currently away on a family holiday, but before I left (in between packing and organising) I created this card using the whitewash technique.

The whitewash technique has 3 steps, so was easy to do whilst doing other things around the house.

The first step involves heat embossing the image. I picked the large floral image in the new stamp set ‘Floral Romance’ from the occasions catalogue.

Then, the image was coloured in using white craft ink and an aqua painter. Finally – after the image is completely dried, I coloured it again using coloured inks, only this time instead of an aqua painter I used wink of stella. This works exactly like an aqua painter, but gives it a nice glittery shimmer.

All up, pretty simple – though a little time consuming waiting for things to dry.

Hope you like it 🙂
