This week the CASEing the Catty challenge is focussed on the Holiday section of the catalogue, however I still can’t quite bring myself to make a christmas card yet. However with the wet and windy weather we are having here in Perth, I decided to focus my thoughts towards spring.
CASEing the Catty is purely a Facebook challenge, you don’t need to blog (but you can) – you just upload your photo and you’re away. I have decided to CASE the layout of the teddy bear card on page 97, shown below.

The card base and background piece are in Daffodil Delights. The main background piece is embossed using the Hexagons 3D Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing folder (say that 3 times fast!). I bought this folder for another card I had in mind, but I can see myself finding lots of uses for it. The texture created with these 3D folders is amazing.
I used the Abstract Impressions stamp set for the flower stamping with the sentiment coming from Detailed with Love. I finished it off with some leaves cut with the Tropical thinlets, some Granny Apple Green textured weave ribbon, a strips of wood textures DSP, some white bakers twine and a button left over from the True Gentlemen suite in the occasions catalogue.
