I needed to make a ‘new baby’ card for a recent addition to our extended family, so I pulled out my supplies and combined old and new to create this card for a new baby boy.

The layout for my card was inspired by this week’s Just-Add-Ink challenge and the ‘Baby’ theme fitted in nicely with the current Addicted to CAS challenge which had the code word ‘Baby’.

The background paper is from the (retired) paper stack ‘A Little Foxy’. This paper stack is really beautiful and has perfect soft colours perfect for new baby cards.

The Kangaroo stamp is from Animal Outings, I have used this stamp set so many times now, I really love it. I coloured it using Stampin’ Blends using the colours Bronze, Crumb Cake, Old Olive and Pink Pirouette (retired). The sentiment comes from the ‘Balloon Celebration’ stamp set, it has a really pretty font don’t you think?

The colour combination of Smoky Slate and Pool Party is a stunning combination for a new Baby Boy. I hope they like their card.
