Having two young boys I am always needing a supply of kids cards, so this week I sat down to have another play with the Myths and Magic suite of products.
If you aren’t familiar with Sale-A-Bration head on over here for all the details.
This week’s CASEing the Catty challenge was once again all about the Sale-A-Bration catalogue. I decided to CASE the card shown up the top left of page 16, shown below.

All of the cards I made used the Myths and Magic Speciality Designer Series Paper. The first used a Daffodil Delight mat on whisper white card base with the new lemon lime twist mini striped ribbon. The photos don’t do it justice (or rather my photography skills don’t do it justice!) but all of the paper in today’s project is glittery and gorgeous!
The second card is a similar style using a Bermuda Bay mat. The sentiment is adhered to a circle of the glimmer paper that is also part of the Myths and Magic suite. Both bits of ribbon are from the free Sale-A-Bration ribbon pack.
The final card is all about unicorns, glittery unicorns at that – does it get any better! The DSP is on a Melon Mambo mat, and the sentiment is also stamped in Melon Mambo. Instead of ribbon I have used some thick whisper white bakers twine.
The sentiments on all three cards are from the Magical Day stamp set, as is the unicorn and the mermaid that are stuck to the sentiment on the first and final cards. Both these stamped images are coloured with Stampin’ Write markers.
All three of these cards are so simple to put together, dimensions are below:
- Standard card base in whisper white, 1/2 an A4 sheet, scored and folded in half
- The coloured mat are all 1/8″ smaller than the card base
- The DSP is cut 1/4″ smaller than the coloured mat.
- The sentiment is stamped on a 2 3/8″ scallop circle, whisper white. This is then stuck to a 2 1/2″ circle in a coordinating colour.
Definitely give these cards a go – a fast addition to build your card stash.
