Hi everyone, it’s that time again where we get together with a fabulous bunch of stampers and craft for no other reason than it’s a social thing to do. Although we are still keeping a physical distance from everyone, this weekly blog host brings us all together in a virtual world. When I made today’s cards I was thinking about all those young kids that have celebrated their birthdays whilst we have been in isolation. Some of them would have had to cancel their parties, some would have had some special family plans that had to be altered or deferred, some maybe even had birthday holidays planned, and others were probably looking forward to having a nice family dinner with their grandparents. It would have been a very different birthday for these kids this year, but I am sure their families went all out to make them as special as they could.
My cards are aimed firmly at kids this week, with one of my absolute favourite suites (can I just say I am beyond happy that these stamps and dies will be carrying over to the next annual catalogue. The Dino Days bundle is such a fun set. And even better the dies cut out some of the images from the DSP. For my cards I cut the dinosaurs out of the DSP, and then stamped the spikes separately and cut them out with dies too. The dies for the spikes are really cool, they leave a good sized strip to allow you to stick them on to the back of the dinosaur.
Since these are birthday cards I punched out some glittery balloons using the Balloon Bouquet punch. If you don’t have this punch then you need it, balloons turn almost anything into a birthday theme. Animals, trees, almost anything – add a balloon and it’s suddenly a birthday party!

I really really love these Dinosaurs (so does my son) I’m quietly a bit chuffed we will be keeping them for another year too! Such cute bright happy cards Shannon x
