Hi everyone, and thanks for stopping by tonight to join us for some social stamping – at a time where being virtually social is all we can do!
Kelly Kent started this blog host as a way of keeping connected while we are all being socially distant. A good excuse to get inky and stamp each week (just in case we needed one!). You can check out the whole list of participants here.
This weeks theme is friends and there is not better time to make a card and send a card to a friend to add some cheer to their day. And for me it was a perfect excuse to ink up my newest stamp set – Silhouette Scenes.

I stamped the set of children twice, once in plain black and once that I embossed in shimmery black. I wasn’t sure which would look better so I did both. There are coordinating dies with this stamp set, but they don’t cut out the images so I fussy them out.

The background DSP is from one of my favourite packs, Perennial Essence. I love it, and this particular piece of paper reminds me of the night sky, or the galaxy. One of the cards I have teamed with Blackberry Bliss, and the other uses Blueberry Bushel. I think the Blackberry Bliss one is my favourite with the sparkly embossing. It’s really hard to get a good photo of this embossing, but trust me – its all sparkly and pretty.

I hope you have enjoyed these cards, they are now in the mail to two friends of mind, to hopefully brighten their days. Click below to visit the next blog in the social stamping series, the lovely Sharon from Stuido Shabaz.

Great choice of DSP. It does look like a night sky and I love how the people images are all looking up at it.

Silhouette stamps, especially of kids, are so cool. I love the pairing of your little adventurers with the galaxy feel DSP! Kelly x
