ESAD So Long Favourites

Hi Everyone and thank you for stopping by. Today I am so excited to be hopping along with the crew from ESAD – a group of amazing Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from Australia and New Zealand.

This evening we are showcasing all the amazing products that will sadly leave us at the end of this catalogue (which ends on the 3rd June). Please please keep in mind that once items get listed as ‘Retiring’ they become ‘While Stocks Last’ – so if you see something in tonight’s blog hop that you think you might need, I suggest you pop on and buy it right away just in case it sells out.

Tonight I am featuring a stamp set which although it gets a lot of use, it rarely features on any of my projects, and that is the Balloon Celebration.

I use this stamp set on so many things as I love balloons. They are a festive addition to almost any card. Think about what stamps you have in your stash, some of them you wouldn’t think to use on say a birthday card, but add a balloon and there you go. Attach balloons to almost any of the animal stamps for a birthday card, attach balloons to a car image or house image to create a ‘congratulations on getting your drivers license’ or ‘congratulations on the new house’.

Other places I commonly use balloons is to decorate envelopes, to add a little bit of interest to the inside of a card, or quick and easy gift tags – and it is gift tags that I am sharing with you tonight.

For my gift tags, I have attached DSP to some thick white card stock (5cm x 10cm) and used the Tag Topper punch to create the basic gift tag. I then added a stitched rectangle, some balloons stamped in coordinating colours (punched out) and added a ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment (the sentiment comes from the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set that is also retiring).

I finished off the tags with a variety of ribbon, most of which is also retiring (the striped Bermuda Bay and Gorgeous Grape ribbon will be in the next catalogue)

Now sadly, this stamp set is retiring, however the coordinating Balloon Bouquet punch is carrying over into the new catalogue.

I have added links to the things I have used below – it looks like a lot, but paper wise I was just using scraps that I had, and then I just picked colours to match. Use what you have in whatever colours you have – though I definitely recommend using the thick cardstock for gift tags as they hold up better.

Don’t forget to add the Balloon Celebrations stamp set (and punch!) to your cart before it is too late!

Next up on this evening’s blog hop is the talented Nicole Wilson, another demonstrator from WA. I had the pleasure of meeting her recently and she is as lovely in person as her projects are. Check out her gorgeous work here.

  4. Love your tags, Shannon. Love the idea of creating a whole lot in one go and then having them ready to go at short notice. Need to do this myself!
