Hello and Happy Easter! I hope you have all had an enjoyable day, whether surrounded by family, friends and/or chocolate 🙂 Thank you for stopping by today, and I hope you enjoy the Easter projects we are sharing with you. Keep in mind that although by the time you read this Easter is basically over for the year, all of the projects this evening can be used for inspiration for many different occasions.

You might recall that I shared with you the easter treats I made for my eldest son’s Pre-Primary class. Well – on his final day of term he took them into his class, however on his way to school they dropped off my youngest son who is at Pre-Kindy (3 year old Kindy). Mr 3 was less than impressed that he didn’t have an easter basket full of chocolate to share with his ‘school’ friends (Rookie parenting mistake I know!). So, in true ninja parenting style we thought fast…..and told him of course I have arranged a basket of chocolate goodness for him and his friends, but since his last day of kindy isn’t till the following week he wouldn’t take it in till then. Until then I was keeping it as a surprise!

And so that brings me to this week’s project, I needed a craft project that could fit some treats but not too many (they are only 3), and that didn’t need a heap of supplies. Inspired by the cute triangular box in the image above, I remembered a project I had seen ages ago over on the Pootles You Tube channel.

These boxes use only a 6″ x 3″ piece of paper, and no adhesive. Admittedly the scoring (whilst simple) does take more time than just scoring tradition straight lines. Here is the original box instructions from Pootles.

These cute little boxes are made with the Gingham Gala DSP in all 5 of the colours, I made one with the larger gingham pattern and some with the small. The sentiment comes from Fable Friends (which is carrying over to the new catalogue!!), and I have popped it up on a stitched circle and a scallop from the layering circle dies. the ribbon was a freebie from this year’s Sale-A-Bration so long gone I’m afraid…but you could use whatever you liked. Each box contains 2 small kinder eggs, you could possibly fit 3 in there (I didn’t try).

I now have one happy little 3 year old who is very excited about handing out his treats to his friend, and this momma is back in the good books!
