CTC223 – Classic Garage

Wow – a very busy week for me this week so it will be lovely to sit down, relax and hop through this week’s CASEing the Catty blog hop to be inspired by the Classic Garage section of the catalogue. I hope you join me hopping through 🙂

The card I have chose to CASE this week, is the white one shown above, with the cluster of pink embellishments. I loved the simplicity of this design, but I especially loved the sentiment being stamped on vellum. I thought it added a really pretty touch.

My card was made as a Mother’s Day card for my mum. Mother’s Day in the UK (where she lives) is at the end of March (in case you are wondering why I was making it so early….no I am not a super organised crafter!).

I started my sponging some Flirty Flamingo onto a thick whisper white base, and then stamped ‘A Little Note’ straight onto the card base. I then clustered an assortment of flowers and greenery, the majority of the flowers were actually fussy cut from the All My Love DSP pack.

The sentiment, stamped on vellum, comes from the Well Said stamp set. This stamp set is fast becoming my ‘go to’ for sentiments. It has a selection of ‘preformed’ sentiments, and then a huge assortment of words that can be put together to write whatever you like.

I finished it off with a few pearls, and then it was ready for the mail and bound for London town.

Next up on this week’s hop is Siobhan, and she has created something really gorgeous.

I hope you will think about joining us this week, I’d love to see what you come up with.

  1. Beautiful soft, floral card. I’m sure your mum loved it for Mother’s Day. The sentiment is perfect!
